As a new driver are you automatically disqualified after getting six points or can you receive six points and still be allowed to drive?

I think I just drove past a speed camera exceeding the speed limit. Because of reasons that left me shaken I was speeding and this was the first time I've sped since I received my first three points, however I suppose this doesn't really matter in the eyes of the law. My question is, as a new driver are you automatically disqualified after getting six points or can you receive six points and still be allowed to drive?

After getting six points your licence is revoked. You can only avoid the points if you have a special reason for driving at that speed (e.g. an emergency) or you persuade the Court to give you a short ban.

We specialise in helping new drivers avoid revocation and have a 90% success rate in that respect at the time of writing.
