Foot run over by a bus: am I eligible to claim compensation?

by Murdo Maguire last modified 2007-02-08 05:50

I was recently in a accident in which I was crossing to the road and a bus passed over my left foot. I was taken by ambulance to hospital where the police took a statement. I suffered severe bruising on my left big toe and shin. Fortunately no bone was not broken. Am I eligible for compensation?

Speed itself is not necessarily evidence of negligence but any motorist must be able to react to an emergency.  Whilst there may well be an element of contributory negligence, as you should have been clearly visible, your claim may well succeed in part.

You need a good experienced personal injury lawyer as the NoWinNoFee brigade will probably turn you down flat as your case is not clear cut. I have asked a lawyer to call you to discuss the circumstances to see whether we can assist you with your case.
