Rear end shunt, but other driver fled scene and is denying responsibility. Is there anything I can do?

I was hit in the rear of my car by another driver. I did stop at the time but the car that hit me drove off. I have kept a note of the registration and contacted my insurance however the person that hit my car in the back is not accepting liability. Is there anything I can do?

Your claim will certainly succeed if you are involved in a rear end shunt if there is no damage to the front of your car whether the other party accepts liability or not. If you instruct us to act for you we can obtain the insurance details of the other driver on your behalf via the Motor Insurers' Database and make a claim for you. If the other driver was not insured then we would be seeking to make a claim on your behalf from the Motor Insurers Bureau. It would greatly assist if you could advise us whether you suffered any injury in the collision as we may be able to claim for you on this as well.
