Successful defence on Section 172 for failing to name driver...

Defence to "failing to notify identity of driver" proves that a reasonable diligence defence in Section 172 cases can succeed...

The registered keeper faced a Section 172 offence for failing to name the driver caught on a speed camera which could have led to him receiving three points on his driving licence and a £1000 fine.

After representations from the Roadside Lawyer's solicitors, the Crown Prosecution Service accepted he had exerted reasonable diligence to discover the identity in extraordinary circumstances and had failed to do so and thus the case was withdrawn.

I have just received outstanding service from Ms Emma Patterson, the solicitor acting on my behalf through the Roadside Lawyer.

Apart from acting in a totally reliable and efficient way she also acted with great urgency (qualities not normally associated with the legal profession).

A breath of fresh air. Well done Emma.
